Livingston manager Jim Leishman still has his sights set on Europe despite a disappointing start to the season.
The West Lothian club won a UEFA Cup spot in their SPL debut campaign but have spent most of this season in the bottom half of the table and currently lie in joint-ninth position.
But Leishman is refusing to rule out the possibility of another top-four finish.
Leishman said: "There's no reason why we shouldn't make it into the top six and European football is also still a possibility.
"We'll only give up when we can't mathematically make it.
"Of course, you have to achieve one goal before you can do the other so we'll just take it one step at a time."
Leishman admitted his team's poor early season form had been a concern but insisted the management and players had already taken steps to turn around their fortunes.
Leishman said: "We discussed the situation with the players and they had a look at themselves. We identified some problems and now we are trying to solve them.
"But the players have been fantastic. They've worked their socks off, putting in extra shifts in training and it's all credit to them."
Livingston play host to Dundee, who are fresh from a confidence boosting derby win over rivals Dundee United last weekend.
But Leishman will not allow his side to become downcast after the defeat by Celtic last weekend.
Leishman said: "You have to remember that Celtic are a good side who have just beaten one of the best teams in Europe. So it was no disgrace to be beaten by them.
"I expect Dundee to attack us because that is their strength. They have good forwards who are technically gifted and I'm sure they will give us a hard game."
Striker Barry Wilson has fractured a bone in his wrist and will need to be assessed ahead of the game.
Dundee have been boosted by good news from two strikers ahead of the trip.
Forwards Steve Lovell and Juan Sara have both recovered from foot injuries to take their places in the squad.
Manager Jim Duffy has no other fresh injury concerns.
