Full-time: Livingston v Dundee
Soccernet.com

Livingston and Dundee shared the spoils with a 1-1 draw in one of the most open and entertaining games seen at the City Stadium this season.

Striker Juan Camacho had given the home side a dream start when he volleyed them ahead with only 90 seconds on the clock.

Dundee fought back to play their part in an exciting tussle but had to wait until the 70th minute to equalise thorough a Nacho Novo spot-kick.

The game, played at breakneck pace, could have swung either way but a point apiece was probably the right result.

But it was the home side who got off to a flyer. Having failed to score in their last three games, Livingston could not have wished for a better start when they took the lead after only 90 seconds.

Defender Marvin Andrews launched a 60-yard clearance which David Bingham flicked on with his head to Camacho.

The Spaniard took one touch to control the ball and from 16 yards volleyed an unstoppable shot over the head of Dens keeper Julian Speroni and in off the crossbar.

Dundee slowly fought their way back into the game and were foiled in the 15th minute by a great double save by Livingston keeper Javier-Sanchez Broto.

A Giorgi Nemsadze free-kick found Tom Hutchison 12 yards out and the big defender's header was net bound until Broto dived to his right to claw the ball away from the line and then immediately recovered to foil Hutchison at the second attempt.

The game flowed from end to end and in the 21st minute Camacho came close to scoring again with a great curling shot from the edge of the box which went only inches past Speroni's right hand post.

But Dundee were determined to get on level terms and moments later Broto again had to react well to make a double block from Steve Lovell.

After the break both side were still creating half-chances but the finishing was poor. Dens stopper Hutchison should have done better when he headed over a Gavin Rae cross from only six yards out and Livingston midfielder Lee Makel's shot from the edge of the Dundee box went well wide.

In the 56th minute Speroni had to be at his best to palm over an angled drive from Livingston's Cherif Toure-Maman and moments later the keeper again kept his side in the game when he saved from Eugene Dadi at the edge of the box.

In between, Dundee's Gavin Rae epitomised the poor quality finishing when he shot high and wide from the edge of the box.

Still the game raged from end to end and Bingham and Camacho almost linked in a Livingston breakaway but the Scot's return pass was overcooked and allowed an increasingly erratic Speroni to gather at the second attempt.

In the 61st minute Dadi provided the moment of the match when he set himself up for a spectacular over head kick from 14 yards which rattled off the Dens bar before bouncing clear.

In the 70th minute Dundee eventually got their well deserved equaliser courtesy of a spot kick after defender Oscar Rubio fouled Steve Lovell when the Dens man was ready to pounce on a spill by Broto.

Dens striker Novo, who had been anonymous all day, stepped up to send Broto the wrong way.

Dundee were dealt a blow when, after using all three substitutes, Giorgi Nemsadze was stretchered off with a knee injury, leaving the visitors to play the last eight minutes with 10 men.

In the end, however, the visitors hung on for a deserved point.
