Two goals from Karl Hawley helped Raith extend their lead at the top of the Second Division with a comfortable 3-1 win over Brechin.
After a frustrating first-half in which Hawley hit the post, Rovers finally broke the deadlock seven minutes after the break when Colin Boylan fired home from close range after good work by Ryan Blackadder.
Six minutes later Blackadder was again involved when he headed a deep cross into the path of Hawley, and the on-loan Walsall striker made no mistake from eight yards.
Brechin, who had rarely threatened, shocked the home side after 68 minutes when Jim Smith headed a Marc Miller free-kick into the net but their hopes of a comeback were dashed a minute later when Boylan released Hawley and he coolly converted from 16 yards to seal the victory.
