Match Preview: Kilmarnock - Airdrie Utd
Soccernet.com

Kilmarnock manager Jim Jefferies is missing a whole forward line ahead of his team's CIS Insurance Cup tie against Airdrie United.

Andy McLaren (shoulder), Craig Dargo (ankle) and Gary McSwegan (leg) will miss the game at Rugby Park through injury.

Jefferies may be forced to start Paul Di Giacomo despite the youngster not yet been fully fit after a knee injury which kept him out for eight months.

Airdrie manager Sandy Stewart admits he is still in the dark as to whether Mark McGeown will be able to take part.

McGeown was sent-off against Brechin City on Saturday but Stewart is hopeful he will be available, although Marvyn Wilson is set to miss out with a back injury.

Stewart insists his players must do better following Saturday's defeat.

He said: "This will be a very difficult tie because they are obviously a good SPL side and they're playing at their own ground. We know we'll have to defend better than we did on Saturday."
