Match Preview: Stenhousemuir - Hamilton
Soccernet.com

Stenhousemuir manager John McVeigh may use the disappointment of his side's CIS Cup defeat to Stirling Albion to inspire his players ahead of the visit of Hamilton Accies.

McVeigh remains angry over the referee's handling of the cup tie, given that Albion twice equalised deep into injury time, in both normal, and extra-time.

Stenny go into the game with doubts over Dave McFarlane, Fraser Forrest, Steve McCormick, Scott Murphy, Mark Booth and Mark Armstrong.

McVeigh said: "Despite the fact that our defending was woeful the other night, we couldn't believe the amount of injury time he (the referee) played. Hopefully, we can put that behind us and we just have to keep on trying and hope for the best."

Hamilton manager Chris Hillcoat is without midfielders Jim Sherry (hamstring) and Mark Bonnar (suspended).

Despite the turmoil at the club in recent months Hillcoat has been pleased with the reaction of his players.

He said: "I've been quite happy so far with the way we've played. We've used quite a few different boys, and they are only boys but that will give them good experience.

"We knew when we came into the league it wouldn't be all pretty football and that we would have to work hard for 90 minutes every game and I think we have proved we can do that."
