Full-time: Queen of the South 0 - 1 Queen's Park
Soccernet.com

Queens Park battled in vain to save their Second Division status at Queen of the South - as their 1-0 victory allowed rivals Forfar to escape the drop on goal difference.

The Glasgow side put in a sterling performance and scored their first goal in five games to secure victory, but the win was not comprehensive enough.

The goal arrived in the 22nd minute when Kevin Finlayson sent a ball into the penalty area and Steven Canning flicked it on for Mark Gallagher to volley home.

The Spiders kept pressing but were twice thwarted by super saves from goalkeeeper Jamie Campbell.

Queen of the South had little to play for - and it was not until the final quarter that they applied any real pressure.
