Full-time: Dumbarton 1 - 2 Hamilton Academical
Soccernet.com

Hamilton recorded a narrow 2-1 win over Dumbarton which keeps the Division Three promotion race on a knife-edge.

David McFarlane was the visitors' hero - cancelling Dumbarton's early lead and setting up the winner for team-mate Dylan Kerr.

The game was full of incident and match referee Alan Gemmill was replaced at half-time after an accidental clash with a player.

Assistant Andy Davis took over and referee supervisor Dougie Hope left his seat in the stand to run the line.

Dumbarton took an early lead with Craig Lynes nodding them in front after just three minutes.

Accies stormed back and McFarlane levelled terms from close range after a blunder by defender Jamie Bruce had given him the chance.

The visitors went in front early in the second half when McFarlane's short pass was rifled home from 35 yards by Kerr.

Both sides had further chances to score but good goalkeeping from both John Hillcoat and Ian MacFarlane prevented more goals.
