Full-time: Berwick Rangers 1 - 0 Arbroath
Soccernet.com

A goal from Alan Neill gave Berwick an important 1-0 victory over Arbroath, with whom they are now level on points.

The battle for promotion could be decided when the teams meet again at Arbroath next week and supporters will hope for an improved performance from both sides after they struggled to cope with a strong wind.

Arbroath dominated the early stages with John Cusick going close to giving the visitors an early lead.

Colin McKinnon was twice foiled by excellent Berwick goalkeeper Willie Mulloch but Rangers stormed back after the break and should have taken the lead when Gary Wood's strike hit the crossbar.

Moments later, Berwick had a shot cleared off the line, but after 59 minutes Neill claimed the three points with an excellent goal.

Martin Neil touched a free-kick to him and he crashed home an unstoppable shot to seal victory.
