Stenhousemuir eased their relegation worries with a 2-0 win over fellow strugglers Queen's Park.
The home side were awarded a controversial 19th-minute penalty when Isaac English went down in the area under pressure from goalkeeper Barry John Corr and Dennis Connaghan, who was sent off following the incident.
Stenhousemuir's on-loan defender Simon Mensing made no mistake from the resulting spot-kick, firing the ball inside Corr's left-hand post.
And the home side secured all three points when Scott Miller's 77th-minute right-wing cross drifted over Corr and in off a post.
