David McFarland snatched a last-minute goal to give Hamilton a share of the points and keep their promotion hopes alive as they drew 1-1 with East Fife.
The Fifers, under new interim boss Dave Gorman, opened the scoring against the run of play after 51 minutes when Steve Kerrigan slotted the ball through for Paul McManus to slot past Ian MacFarlane.
Substitute Chris Devine almost added a second with his first touch of the ball but his shot rebounded off the bar.
Then in the dying seconds a Stuart Callaghan cross was headed in at the far post by McFarland.
Hamilton dominated the first half and Michael Moore might well have claimed a hat-trick, but the East Fife defence, with Ray Sharp and Lee Mair outstanding in central defence, kept the eager Accies out.
