Battling Ross County fought back after twice going behind to earn a 2-2 draw at Airdrie.
After just two minutes Scott Bannerman took a Paul Armstrong pass in his stride and blasted the ball past Ross goalkeeper Gary Hamilton to give the home side the lead.
Five minutes later former Airdire player Martin Prest was brought down by Craig McPherson inside the penalty box and Alex Bone made no mistake from the spot.
Owen Coyle was looking to continue his scoring run since returning to his former club and almost restored Airdrie's lead after 25 minutes.
He moved quickly onto Lee Gardner's pass and fired a powerful shot narrowly wide.
Coyle was not to be denied, however, and six minutes later, after good inter-play with McWilliams, he smashed home his fifth goal in four games.
The second-half was dominated by County and they deservedly scored an equaliser two minutes from time through substitute Steven Ferguson after a sustained spell of pressure.
