Match Preview: Aberdeen - Dundee
Soccernet.com

Dons duo return to face Dundee

Jamie McAllister and Kevin McNaughton return to the Aberdeen squad for the clash with Dundee.

Rachid Belabed is also available even though he limped off in agony during the first half of Wednesday's 4-1 win over Dundee United following a clash with Derek Lilley.

The incident sparked angry protests to referee John Fleming from the Moroccan but he has now recovered.

Apart from facing a possible law suit from disgruntled players Marco de Marchi and Patrizio Billio, Dundee boss Ivano Bonetti has plenty of on-field problems to occupy his mind, even without the mathematical logistics of Saturday's action.

Dundee must win and hope Dunfermline lose at Kilmarnock to guarantee some return on an investment which has allowed the likes of Claudio Caniggia to ply their trade on Tayside.

Caniggia is one of a number of fitness doubts for Bonetti, after pulling up with a hamstring injury against Celtic on Wednesday.

Marco Russo is suffering from tonsilitis, while goalkeeper Marco Rocatti is struggling with the back injury he picked up in the warm-up before the midweek game.

Jamie Langfield will again deputise if Rocatti fails to make it.

"It would not be a disaster if we failed to make the top six," said Bonetti.

"We are still progressing well but we want to make it and we will be doing our very best to get the win we need on Saturday."
