Berwick kept up their drive for promotion with a narrow but deserved win at lowly Forfar.
The home side made the Borderers work hard for the result, however, and created several chances of their own but paid the price for failing to capitalise on them.
After soaking up a period of Forfar pressure just after half time, Berwick hit Forfar with a sucker punch when a low shot from the right by Martin Neil appeared to be covered by keeper Stuart Garden.
But Craig Findlay stole in front of defender Robbie Horn and stabbed the ball home. Euan Donaldson squandered a glorious chance to level things for Forfar when he only had the keeper to beat but he shot straight at Willie McCulloch.
