Celtic's Vega aiming to sink Dons
Celtic defender Ramon Vega is aiming to round off a good week with a victory against Aberdeen at Pittodrie.
Vega was bursting with pride after being recalled to the Switzerland side, who thrashed Luxembourg 5-0 in a World Cup qualifier.
Now he aims to put the Dons to the sword for the second time in his blossoming Scottish career.
He marked his debut, following his £350,000 move from Tottenham, with two goals three months ago.
"Those memories will stay with me for life," said Vega. "I didn't train with the team beforehand, so to come in and score two goals was a dream.
"At Spurs I spent all my time defending but I like to get forward when I have the chance.
"The move to Celtic has been a good one for me as I have now got my place back in the national side.
"I was very proud of myself this week as I feel it was quite an achievement to play for Switzerland again.
"My confidence is high as I am playing in a successful team where the spirit is fantastic."
Celtic head for Pittodrie on the back of their CIS League Cup victory against Kilmarnock.
Henrik Larsson grabbed a hat-trick in the final to take his tally for the season to 47.
The Swedish striker, however, believes he is not good enough to play for one of the top European clubs.
Vega is happy to contradict his team-mate. "He could play in any league and score goals," he said.
"I have no doubts about that. Henrik has that scoring instinct and is very cool in front of goal.
"He is very quiet about what he has achieved. In fact he is the most down to earth superstar I have ever come across."
Aberdeen manager Ebbe Skovdahl knows they will have to keep Larsson quiet if they are to take something from the game.
"He is their biggest threat," said Skovdahl. "I don't think he has ever been kept quiet through a match.
"However, we have defended well this season and are much better organised as a unit.
"It will be a tough match but we are determined to take something from it as we want to climb the table."
Skovdahl looks set to name an unchanged side after the draw against St Johnstone in midweek.
Celtic need just four more victories to clinch the title but manager Martin O'Neill believes Aberdeen will be difficult opponents.
"They are really nice footballers and a young side to boot," he said. "They gave us a really tough game the last time."
Striker Chris Sutton is suspended while Bobby Petta is sidelined with a groin injury. However, Alan Thompson and Jackie McNamara are available again after suspension.
