Full-time: Queen's Park 1 - 0 Stranraer
Soccernet.com

Mark Gallagher grabbed the only goal of the game to give Queen's Park a hard-fought 1-0 home win over Stranraer.

Gallagher struck after 52 minutes when he was on hand to meet a Kevin Finlayson cross and slam the ball into the back of the net from close range.

It was no more than the home side deserved after recovering from a shaky start to dominate.

Queen's Park goalkeeper Barry John Corr made a fabulous second-minute save to keep out an Alex Grace header as Stranraer opened the game in lively fashion.

Stephen Canning should have scored for Queens Park but he failed to hit the target twice with the goal at his mercy, while Paul Borland saw his fine free-kick well saved by Stranraer goalkeeper Stephen O'Neill.

There were few goalscoring chances in the second half although the visitors almost snatched a late equaliser when Mark Wear saw his curling free-kick go just wide.
