A four-goal burst from hot-shot Ross Hamilton sealed a 6-0 demolition of Airdrie at Recreation Park and eased Alloa manager Terry Christie's relegation worries.
Hamilton's first was a near-post header after 20 minutes from a Max Christie corner and, with Airdrie under pressure, he blasted in a second on the half hour following Gareth Evans' flick.
The visitors managed to hold out until half-time but after the break the Wasps were in complete control.
Hamilton completed his hat-trick early in the half, then after 61 minutes he fired home again to claim a fourth.
Defender Steve Thomson made it five with a strong header after 67 minutes, and with five minutes remaining substitute Chris Wood completed the rout from close range.
