Full-time: Airdrie 1 - 2 Falkirk
Soccernet.com

Falkirk came from behind to pile further misery on crisis club Airdrie with a 2-1 win at the Excelsior Stadium.

Airdrie opened the scoring in the 38th minute when a Craig McPherson free-kick fell kindly to Stuart Taylor, who smashed the ball home.

A rigorous half-time talk by Falkirk manager Alex Totten coupled with a pair of substitutions had the desired effect on Falkirk as they started to look much more threatening.

Substitute midfielder Mark Kerr hit the post early in the second half before Steven Craig had a goal disallowed.

Falkirk levelled in the 57th minute when Kevin McAllister slotted home a penalty awarded after defender Sean Sweeney had handled the ball in the area.

Sweeney's protests earned him a booking and he was sent off shortly afterwards for his second bookable offence.

From the free-kick which resulted from that incident, Falkirk scored the winner when David Nicholls took advantage of a poor clearance from goalkeeper Alan Ferguson and headed the ball back into the unguarded net.
