East Stirling were left to rue a number of missed chances as they had to settle for a 0-0 draw at home to Dumbarton.
Gregor McKechnie should have given the home side the lead on the half-hour mark but his header drifted wide.
Shire continued to push forward and Kevin Gordon was sent clean through on goal two minutes before the interval only to fire his effort wide with just the goalkeeper to beat.
Dumbarton battled hard in the second half and created a couple of half chances, but East Stirling should have secured three points when McKechnie produced a weak shot with the goal at his mercy.
