Brechin City climbed to the top of the table with a deserved 2-1 victory over Elgin City.
It was the home side who threatened to make the breakthrough early on when an effort from Roddy Grant struck the crossbar and it was no surprise when they opened the scoring in the 15th minute.
Grant fed Darryn Smith and his drive scorched into the top-corner of the net to hand the hosts the early advantage.
Brechin made it 2-0 six minutes after the break when a Jimmy Narin free-kick fell to Roddy Grant and he squeezed the shot home from a tight angle.
As the visitors mounted a late charge, Colin Milne headed against the post before Elgin got a goal back seven minutes from time when David Ross rose to head home a corner kick.
