Dunfermline injury crisis for Hibs trip

Dunfermline boss Jimmy Calderwood will be without nine key players for the trip to Hibernian.

Jason Dair, Ian Ferguson, Chris McGroarty, Steven Boyle, David Moss, Stewart Petrie, John Potter and Eddie May are all injured and Youssef Rossi is suspended.

Michel Doesburg and Junior Mendes are back in the squad, however.

"We have been down to the bare bones the last few weeks, that's for sure," said Calderwood.

Meanwhile Hibernian manager Alex McLeish insists his side have achieved nothing this season despite their unexpectedly lofty league position.

The Easter Road club are entering a crucial phase in the campaign after defying any doubters by storming to second place in the table.

Now tough taskmaster McLeish is demanding two home wins - starting against Dunfermline - on the trot before they can take stock of what they have done so far.
