Soccernet.com

Queen's Park crashed to a 2-1 home defeat as Stranraer kept up their promotion push.

The visitors opened aggressively but struggled to find an opener.

On no less than four occasions in the first half striker Ian Harty missed good chances to net.

Following one of these indiscretions, the Spiders raced up-field to open the scoring when Greg Miller crossed the ball along the six-yard line for Mark Gallagher to net, making it a goal-a-game for the big fellow in his four outings.

Stranraer went straight into attack from the and equalised through a magnificent Jered Stirling 25-yard free-kick.

He added a second 11 minutes later, following a defensive lapse from Danny Ferry, for Stranraer's winner to complete a memorable debut.
