Stranraer pulled off a late smash-and-grab act to claim an undeserved point after playing second fiddle to visitors Stirling Albion for 80 minutes.
Stirling belied their lowly league spot with a brave display and showed from the kick-off they wanted to win this one.
They forced corner after corner in the opening stages and from one of these went ahead with a Kevin Gaughan header on 11 minutes.
Stranraer were poor in attack but equalised five minutes from the end.
Duncan George stabbing home a ball which Stirling keeper, Chris Reid, had fumbled.
Inbetween it was a one-way possession with the home defence keeping the visitors out with a mix of hard work and luck.
On-loan Chris Templeman led the Stirling line well and twice in the second half saw home keeper Mark McGeown deny him with brilliant saves.
