Full-time: Peterhead 1 - 1 Hamilton Academical
Soccernet.com

In a nail-biting encounter 10-man Peterhead earned their hardest-fought point this season against Hamilton Academicals.

Peterhead manager Ian Wilson felt his side were extremely unlucky not to take more than a point from the game.

The manager had witnessed a second-half onslaught from Hamilton but still felt that two late chances could have seen the Blue Toon sneak a victory.

Peterhead took the early advantage with Yates scoring in the 30th-minute.

Their advantage was soon wiped out with the sending off then Hamilton equalised with a fabulous effort from Robert Prytz just before the interval.

The home side fought with their backs-to-the-wall throughout the second period, the highlights of Hamilton's efforts coming from Allan Russell and a long ranger from Stuart Callaghan.

However, a header from Billy Herd and a shot rebounding off the post for Craig Yates ensured that Peterhead gave a creditable account and justified their manager's opinion.
