All the excitement was saved for the last two minutes of the game as lowly Montrose battled their way to a 1-1 draw against league leaders Brechin.
Brechin had been unlucky after 13 minutes when Daryn Smith struck the post and both sides continued to create chances throughout.
After 76 minutes Brechin were reduced to 10 men when Kevin Bain was sent off for two bookable offences in the space of three minutes, both for remarks made to the referee.
Despite being a man down, Brechin looked to have won the game a minute from time when Roddy Grant fought for possession inside the box and scored via the crossbar.
However, Grant swiftly turned from hero into villain when he conceded a penalty in the last minute.
The referee pointed to the spot after the ball grazed his arm and Mike McKenzie made no mistake to earn Montrose a point.
