Elgin recorded another milestone in their first Scottish League season with their first ever league away win a 2-0 win over East Stirling.
The Morayshire side were deserved winners, but not before they had weathered an early storm from the home side.
The visitors were lucky not to be at least two goals behind before they went ahead with their first attack of the match.
Their opening goal came just shy of the half hour when David Ross whipped over a cross which Colin Milne headed into the back of the net.
The league new boys still were not out of the woods, but were assisted by Shire keeper Jim Butter.
His poor attempt at clearing Milne's cross four minutes after the interval left Steven Clinton with the easy task of tapping the ball into the empty net for number two.
Shire threw everything at Elgin in a bid for a foothold and were unlucky in the 64th minute when Steven Hislop hit the bar with a header.
Six minutes later, they were awarded a penalty when David Ross fouled Ross Carlow inside the box. But Shire's day was summed up when Hislop's spot kick was pushed round the post by Elgin keeper Martin Pirie.
