Full-time: Alloa Athletic 3 - 1 Clyde
Soccernet.com

Lowly Alloa recorded only their second victory this season with a 3-1 win over Clyde at Recreation Park.

Neither side showed any real bite up front until John Ross tested home keeper Mark Cairns with a powerful drive in the 30th minute.

A minute later Steven Thomson rose above the Clyde defence to head home a Martin Christie corner.

The goal gave Alloa the break they needed with new signing Gareth Evans and Ian Little not far away with good efforts.

Mark McLaughlin turned the ball past his own keeper in the 49th minute for Alloa's second before Ross Hamilton added the third after Clyde's Craig Cranmer was sent off in the 55th minute for a second yellow card.

The visitors managed to close the gap in the 69th minute with a McLaughlin header but, with a man down, they struggled to maintain pressure on the Wasps' goal.
