Bonetti still on the lookout

Dundee manager Ivano Bonetti is still in the process of trying to strengthen his squad.

The Dens Park boss - whose side take on Kilmarnock on Saturday - admits he is close to bringing former Argentine international Claudio Caniggia to Tayside.

He said: "Talks are continuing but it is possible that he could arrive on Friday night."

Bonetti is also interested in another Argentine, Beto Carranza, who has been training at Dens Park for the last fortnight.

He added: "He is a quality player and I think we can begin to talk about having him on a contract here at Dundee."

Bobby Williamson's men took three valuable points off Hearts on Sunday and the Dundee boss admits Saturday's game could be difficult.

He said: "Kilmarnock are a very compact side and are very well organised and it will be a very difficult match on Saturday - they have shown themselves to be a very good team."
