Clyde got their campaign in Division One off to a flier when they beat Falkirk 3-1 at Broadwood.
Things settled down after an initial brace of yellow cards, first culprit was Kevin Christie, who bulldozed Adam Proudlock as he homed in on goal and a minute later Darren Murray was cautioned after bringing down Gareth Hutchison.
Goals were late in coming, but they were two crackers when they arrived.
Against the run of play Falkirk's Hutchison nodded home a Dave Nicholls free-kick and in first half injury-time Adam Proudlock blasted home a Craig Cranmer knock down.
Clyde stepped up a gear and took the lead in the 53rd minute when a poor pass back by James McQuilken was intercepted by Stevie Convery whose lob over the advancing keeper allowed to Proudlock to place the ball in the empty net.
Falkirk's Christie was sent off when he received a second yellow card - in the 75th minute - and man-of-the-match Proudlock completed his hat-trick with a superb goal three minutes from time.
