Soccernet.com

GRONINGEN, November 2 (Eredivisie) - Feyenoord look set to be without goalkeeper Edwin Zoetebier when they travel to Groningen tomorrow.

Zoetebier had to be replaced in the second half of their Champions League defeat at Juventus after injuring his knee.

Coach Bert van Marwijk said: ``Zoetebier will almost certainly not make it to the Groningen match, but Patrik Lodewijks is an excellent replacement.

``He made a good impression in the second half against Juventus.''

Lodewijks will line up against the club where he was was captain for three years.

He said: ``I have always had a good relationship with the fans and I always performed pretty well at Groningen.

``That has given me a special bond with the club.''

Feyenoord striker Pierre van Hooijdonk is still out with a broken leg, but he hopes to return for the must-win Champions League match against Newcastle in 11 days' time.

Left wing-back Ramon van Haaren is also still out with a pulled muscle in his left leg.

A missing are Ebi Smolarek (knee ligament), Leonardo Santiago (ankle) and Leonardo Dos Santos (ban).

Meanwhile Groningen have their own injury concerns.

Jordi Hoogstrate (knee), Magnus Johansson (ankle), Paul Matthijs (knee) and Dejan Curovic (groin) are all struggling to make the game.
