Match Preview: NAC Breda - Fortuna Sittard
Soccernet.com

BREDA, April 26 (KPN Eredivisie) - NAC Breda coach Henk ten Cate has promised to give Jeffrey van As the opportunity to prove his fitness in the two remaining Eredivisie matches this season.

The defender has been out of action for nearly a year through injury and has just two games, starting with Fortuna Sittard tomorrow, to secure a new deal at the club.

Ten Cate has promised the defender he will play both games as Breda are not in a relegation scrap or European contention.

He said: ``I promised him the chance if we were out of relegation or UEFA Cup.

``If it becomes clear that he's the old Van As again, we can start talking about a new contract.''

Hungarian pair Tamas Peto and Csaba Feher will face fitness tests after picking up minor injuries in the week.

Relegated Fortuna will be without striker Regilio Simons after he was told to leave training on Friday after a clash with coach Hans de Koning.

The pair clashed after De Koning told Simons, who is on-loan from NAC, he was not going to play tomorrow.

De Koning commented: ``I decide who is going to play and not Simons.''

Jurgen Dirkx misses out through suspension after the red card he received in last week's defeat against Feyenoord.
