Scored what was a blatantly offside goal against the Danes but will be happy with his performance. Looked a more than useful substitute. Played in Lemerre's second-stringers against against Holland and posed a real threat to the Dutch defence. Super-sub tag started to stick. He won France's Golden Goal winning penalty against Portugal in the semi-final. So lo-and-behold, on he comes in the Final (for Dugarry after 57 minutes) only to score the last-gasp equaliser which set up the Golden Goal extra-time. And the rest, as they say, is history. Technically gifted front-runner who is another Manchester United have been linked with in recent years. More of a flair player than a front runner, he can also play as an attacking midfielder, but any chance he may have of starting under Lemerre is likely to be thwarted by the presence of Dugarry. Has proven prolific in the French league but may lack the physical presence on the international stage to repeat his domestic success.
