Norwegian striker Solskjaer has recovered from a slight calf strain.

And Beckham, a substitute in the win against West Ham, is likely to be in from the start with manager Sir Alex Ferguson declaring the England captain fully fit after reports he had a knee injury.

Ferguson wants to bring in at least one of his younger players but expects Chelsea to be at full strength. Kieran Richardson, Michael Stewart and Danny Pugh are in contention and long-serving defender David May could also be involved.

Northern Ireland international Roy Carroll could replace Fabien Barthez in goal after playing in the previous two rounds.

Laurent Blanc, on the bench against West Ham, could return but Rio Ferdinand, Roy Keane, Nicky Butt and Quinton Fortune are all still out.

Squad: Barthez, Carroll, G Neville, Blanc, May, Brown, O'Shea, Silvestre, Beckham, Solskjaer, Veron, P Neville, Giggs, Scholes, Van Nistelrooy, Forlan, Chadwick, Stewart, Richardson, Pugh, Ricardo.
