The FA are investigating Thierry Henry for an alleged elbow on Charlton midfielder John Robinson in Saturday's 3-0 win at The Valley.

The French international, who scored the opening goal, appeared to elbow the Welsh international after he was tugged back when trying to get to the ball.

Referee Steve Dunn did not punish striker Henry at the time, but the FA have chosen to charge the striker after watching a video of the incident.

Captain Patrick Vieira is already facing an FA charge for allegedly swearing at referee Andy D'Urso following his dismissal in the draw at Chelsea.

The FA have also confirmed that Manchester United's David Beckham will not be charged for the incident involving Lee Bowyer at Elland Road.

The FA released a statement on their website, which read: `We can confirm that no further action will be taken against David Beckham following an alleged use of the elbow towards Lee Bowyer in the Leeds United - Manchester United match on Saturday, September 14.

`The match referee, Jeff Winter, saw the incident in question and gave a free-kick to Leeds United.

`FA rules state that if a referee sees an incident as it occurs, takes a decision accordingly, and does not request it to be further examined after the match, no additional action can be taken. The matter is therefore closed.

`In relation to an alleged use of the elbow involving Thierry Henry of Arsenal and John Robinson of Charlton Athletic, also on Saturday, match referee Steve Dunn has confirmed that he did not see the incident in question. The FA will therefore investigate the incident further.'
