Marko Rehmer indicated a willingness to open talks with Arsenal after his club Hertha Berlin finally admitted he will leave them at the end of the season.
With Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger acting swiftly after being alerted to an escape clause in Rehmer's contract, the Germany centre back could even be at Highbury next week to discuss a £5million summer move.
Rehmer's agent, Hans Joerg Neubauer, said:'Marko knows about the training facilities at Arsenal after the Germany squad were allowed to use them before the World Cup qualifier with England in October.
'But maybe he wants to go over and see Arsene Wenger. He could do that after Hertha return from a training camp in Marbella next Sunday.'
