West Ham duo back for Newcastle clash
West Ham hope to have Paolo Di Canio and Frederic Kanoute back for the visit of Newcastle.
Both strikers missed the defeat at Middlesbrough, Di Canio with an ankle injury and Kanoute with a hamstring strain, but they are back in the squad.
The match is likely to see a home debut for two new Hammers signings, Don Hutchison and Tomas Repka.
Newcastle winger Laurent Robert has recovered from a virus in time to take his place in the side.
Midfielders Gary Speed and Wayne Quinn and defender Aaron Hughes are all out with hamstring injuries while Carl Cort (knee) and Kieron Dyer (shin) remain long-term absentees.
Defender Sylvain Bistin, who made his debut as a late substitute in the 4-3 win over Manchester United last Saturday, is again included in the squad, while midfielder Rob Lee has shaken off a knock.
